I am teaching a demo and I have been asked to teach the differences between if clauses ( 2nd and 3rd conditionals) based on a communicative approach for an intermediate adult class.

Any ideas?

I was thinking maybe playing a fortune teller game but I thank that is been done many times before. I welcome any and all input from you.

Pretty please and thanks in advance!

Wish I could help but everything I can think of is really just a variation of the Fortune Teller game.
Good luck on your interview.

Thanks very much. I ended up searchig and finding an activity for the 3rd conditional where one person pretends to be a prisioner who is telling their parole officer about their crime. "If I had not stolen that last car, I would not have been put in jail" Etc. The parole officer can ask hypothetical questions in the 2nd conditional. I think it went well. They offered me the job but low balled me on the hourly wage, so I'm not sure it will work out.
